Baby Shower cake

Wanted to have some fun with my new Cake Cricut, so

thought the baby deer and paisley would look really nice in pinks and browns for a baby shower cake.

My first Wedding Cake!!

My friend Sarah was kind enough to trust me with the making of the cake for her wedding. It was a Died-and-gone-to-heaven chocolate cake with chocolate hazelnut icing and chocolate fondant. Despite the heat, it turned out pretty good and tasted good too.

Golf Cake

For my sister's husband on his 42nd Birthday. He has been known to get a hole-in-one a time or two in his golfing days so this is my hole-in-one cake and my best rendition of him out of fondant.

The local soccer clubs had a big tournament last weekend and were having a bake sale to raise money. I donated this soccer cake and some cupcakes to help them out.

More Girly cupcakes...I love these!

Cupcakes for an 11 year old girl. Chocolate cupcakes with vanilla frosting and pink and brown decorations.

More cupcakes

Some graduation cupcakes I made for my neice. Red Velvet and cream cheese frosting. I think I finally found a great recipe for the red velvet.

Noah's Ark Baby Shower

I threw a shower for my dear friend Sherri who is having twins. Noah's Ark seemed appropriate as everything comes in twos, a boy and a girl, just like her twins. Congrats Sherri!

More Girl Fun

A little animal themed cake for a little girl turning 3. She loves animals of all kinds so I had free creative control. I love how the sheep turned out, very time consuming but so worth it.

Girly cupcakes

I rarely make stuff for girls, since I am surrounded by boys at my house, but these were fun to make and looked so girly.

My sister's father in law just turned 68. His wife requested a harley themed cake. He just bought this new 2010 street glide in spiced rum and that is what this cake is based off...minus the biker babe. He couldn't believe that it looked like his bike and couldn't figure out how I did it considering he just bought the bike and noone had seen it yet....gotta love the internet.

Wedding cake...test run.

So a friend at work asked me to make her wedding cake for her in july. She has a recipe she loves so I needed to try it out. I made a test layer to see how it worked out. This is 'Died-and-gone-to-heaven' cake and khalua filling with buttercream frosting and fondant. It was a great success, I can't wait to do the cake in july.

Cupcakes, just because.

I must say, I have a serious weakness for cake. I also have one for peanut butter and chocolate....so when I see a recipe with all three incorporated, how can I resist? These 'Hi-hat chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter swiss meringue buttercream are to die for..........mmmmmmmmmmmmm.

What to make for a 50 year old fly fisherman???

A well 'filled out' fly fishing vest of course! Big boobs and fishing lures, who could ask for anything more??
So my sister's inlaws were on a 101 day cruise and missed out on all the grandkids birthdays.
To celebrate their home coming, they had one big party and she asked for one big cake. Her 11 year old did the basic design for the cake. I added a few special elements for each of them on the cake too, to make it special. I was mostly happy with this cake but it is a bit sloppy and I wish i had done better with the fondant.

Go Flames Go

What does every girl want for her 8th birthday...a Hockey cake of course. Phoebe requested a Kipper cake for her birthday and was very happy with her Jersey cake. So much fun for a die hard flames fan like myself to make.

Spider man, spiderman....

A fun cake for a 4 year old's birthday. Evan loves spiderman and had a blast with his friends eating this cake. It was a lot of fun to make and my kids were quite disappointed they were not able to go to Evan's party.
